DEICIDE: 'The Stench Of Redemption' Chart Positions Revealed
August 31, 2006DEICIDE's new album, "The Stench of Redemption", has not only silenced critics the world over, but has now made its mark on worldwide music charts. The album has dropped straight in at No. 11 on Billboard's Top New Artists chart with first-week sales of about 4,000 copies. The CD also landed impressively at No. 14 in the U.K.'s Rock Album Chart. "The Stench of Redemption" also entered the German national chart at No. 84, which is a remarkable achievement for a death metal band.

The follow-up to 2004's "Scars of the Crucifix", "The Stench of Redemption" was recorded at Morrisound in Tampa, Florida and marks the first recording with the new DEICIDE lineup following the departure of the Hoffman brothers. Joining frontman Glen Benton and drummer Steve Asheim in the new formation are guitarists Jack Owen (ex-CANNIBAL CORPSE) and Ralph Santolla (ex-ICED EARTH, DEATH).
